About me and my wine project VINWORLD

Wine is one of my great passions. For many years, as a publicist and producer of online and print publications, I have dedicated myself to the fascinating world of wine in all its facets – from the wine industry and the wine scene to the people behind the fine wines. My name is Arthur Wirtzfeld, and I can look back on a long and varied career in wine journalism.

YOOPRESS

In 2008, I founded YOOPRESS, the first bilingual online wine magazine (German/English). Month after month, I published around 20 articles, which quickly found a steadily growing readership. Within a few years, YOOPRESS established itself as one of the leading online wine magazines in the German-speaking world. This success led to its acquisition by Intervinum AG, the publishing house behind VINUM, in 2018. With the database I built up, VINUM was able to design and further expand its online presence.

WEINFEDER JOURNAL

Parallel to YOOPRESS, I took over the production and editorial management of Weinfeder-Journal in 2012. I am still responsible for this medium of Weinfeder e.V., the association of German wine journalists, and contribute my extensive experience in the production of magazines, my journalistic expertise and my in-depth specialist knowledge to the reporting.

VINWORLD

Now it’s time for a new chapter.

From March 2025, I will be launching VINWORLD, another bilingual online wine magazine. VINWORLD will enrich the international wine scene with journalistic depth and professional expertise. Supported by renowned authors, current reports, dossiers, travel reports, commentaries, reviews and tasting notes will appear here – supplemented by a sophisticated wine feature. My aim is to once again create a platform that inspires and informs wine enthusiasts, experts and industry insiders alike.

VINWORLD stands for well-founded wine journalism with an international perspective – always up-to-date, critical, passionate and independent.
