Producer: Estandon Vignerons. A Rosé with character – the taste of the sea on your lips
Pale bronze in the glass, this wine already stands out visually. On the nose, it offers an alluring, almost ethereal bouquet: delicate spring blossoms and floral notes intertwine with aromas of fresh citrus fruit.
On the palate, this rosé surprises with Mediterranean herb nuances, a subtle, salty breeze from the sea, and a cool, stony minerality. Its structure is firm, with a certain pressure and presence. The dry, refreshing finish is marked by vibrant acidity – a rosé that doesn’t simply pair well with grilled sea bream or red mullet, it boldly challenges them.
Tip: Serve well chilled – this preserves its finesse and avoids any overt candied or confected notes. For me, this wine is more than a food companion – it’s a refined soloist whose aromatic complexity brings pleasure all on its own.
Estandon Vignerons are among the most important producers in Provence. The grapes for this wine come from vines grown in the AOC Côtes de Provence, either on flat schist and silt soils surrounded by olive trees and oaks, or on limestone-clay slopes.
While many Provençal rosés charm with lightness and easy fruit, La Vigne & La Roche follows a different path. This blend of Grenache, Cinsault, and Syrah offers character, depth, and individuality. A rosé for those who seek substance over simplicity.
