2016 Sépia AOP Luberon Rouge, Marrenon

Muscle meets elegance!

Does that work? Absolutely—this blend of Syrah and Grenache, aged in barrique, proves it. A strikingly beautiful fruit interplay of wild berries, juniper, and licorice defines the bouquet. In the glass, a deep red—almost black. On the palate, meaty, juicy, and textured, supported by fine tannins.

Then comes the shift: volume expands while maintaining a velvety smoothness. Perfect balance. It glides down like the finest oil and lingers, lingers, lingers in memory. And then, just when you think it’s over—licorice takes the spotlight. Wow, what a surprising and fantastic finish!

Marrenon is a cooperative of several hundred winemakers from the Ventoux and Luberon appellations in southeastern Rhône, close to the Provence border.
