A true classic from Joachim Heger and a prime example of a Pinot Blanc from the Kaiserstuhl.
Subtle aromas of quince, mirabelle plums, and vineyard peaches on the nose. On the palate, an effortless yet noticeable coolness, a touch of chalk, skillfully paired with fine spiciness and a beautiful interplay of fruit and acidity. Perfect balance, elegant structure—expressive, complex, and approachable all at once.
I’ve enjoyed the Heger Oktav since the 2000 vintage, and it never fails to bring pleasure. Wonderful mouthfeel with an animating, irresistibly drinkable finish.
